Our Mission

The mission of BFF is to positively influence pediatric cancer patients and their families.  To achieve this mission, we have funded two large projects since starting our foundation in 2019.  We have funded an inpatient room at Stead Family Children's Hospital, and pledged $100,000 to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

We are also continuing to send BFF bags to families. The purpose of the BFF bags is to bring some joy to kids that are fighting cancer, and aleve some financial burden for the parents through gift cards. You can sign up for a BFF Bag here.

Brantley received majority of his chemo treatments in Iowa City, at Stead Family Children's Hospital.  We are extremely honored to have funded an inpatient room in his memory, on the 11th floor of the children's hospital.  The funds will be used for any needs the pediatric oncology floor may have.

Brantley Francis Foundation Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute

We are so very honored and excited to have established the Brantley Francis Foundation Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

supporting Ma-GIC!

The Malignant Germ Cell International Consortium (MaGIC) brings together the world’s leading experts in germ cell tumors (GCTs). Since its inception in 2009, MaGIC has grown to include clinical and basic scientists from more than 40 institutions in 11 countries. Sharing experience, expertise, and culture continues to create new opportunities for advancement in the field of GCT research.

Brantley was born with a benign germ cell tumor, that grew back malignant, multiple times and metastasized. It has always been a goal of ours to fund research specific to GCT's. We are beyond proud that our vision of supporting GCT research is coming to fruition.
